Notes for Sir Henry John SELWIN-IBBETSON, 7th Bt and 1st BARON ROOKWOOD
7th Baronet. Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Essex between 1865 and 1868.Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North-West Essex between 1868 and 1892.Succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Ibbetson [G.B., 1748] on 20 March 1869. Held the office of Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department between 1874 and 1878.1 He held the office of Financial Secretary to the Treasury between 1878 and 1880.1 He was created 1st Baron Rookwood, of Rookwood Hall, co. Essex [U.K.] on 18 June 1892.

Left no issue, and the barony became extinct.
