Thomas Wedgwood III (11 June 1685 – 27 June 1739) was an English potter and the father of Josiah Wedgwood.

Thomas was born in Burslem, the elder son and heir of Thomas Wedgwood II (born 29 August 1660, in Burslem buried 16 June 1716, in Burslem) and Mary Leigh (christened 19 May 1663, Burslem buried 23 February 1918 (1719) Burslem). He was master potter of the Churchyard Work, Burslem. He died in Burslem.

He married Mary Stringer (c 1690-14 March 1766, in Burslem) and they had eleven children, three of whom died in infancy:

Anne Wedgwood (christened 30 April 1712, Burslem-buried 1 January 1782, Burslem)
Mary Wedgwood (13 January 1714, Burslem-buried 25 September 1716, Burslem)
Thomas Wedgwood IV (1716, Burslem-23 February 1773, Burslem, Master Potter of the Churchyard Words and the Overhouse, Burslem, taught his younger brother Josiah the potter's trade.
Samuel Wedgwood, (11 January 1919, Burslem-23 April 1719, Burslem)
Margaret Wedgwood (24 April 1720, Burslem-p. 1777). She had a son Thomas Byerley, who became a partner of Josiah at the Etruria Works. The actor Cary Elwes descends from Thomas Byerley.
