Notes for Alexander George (Alan) STUART
Alan was educated at Baymont School, Dollymount, Dublin; Shrewsbury and Clare College, Cambridge, leaving in 1926. He spent two years as a farm student in Caithness and from 1928 to 1930 he worked for Barclays Bank DCVO in London. He moved to Norwich to work for J & J Coleman Ltd in 1930 and remained there for 41 years except for six years during the war with the Royal Artillery.
