Tudur Hen or Tudur ap Goronwy (died 1311) was a
Welsh
aristocrat and a member of the
Tudor family of Penmynydd
,
Anglesey
,
North Wales
. His father
Goronwy ab Ednyfed
(d.1268) was seneschal to
Llywelyn ap Gruffudd
,
Kingdom of Gwynedd
between 1246 and 1256. In 1263 he led a military campaign in Gwent.
Tudur Hen (Tudur the Elder) took part in the
Madog ap Llywelyn
uprising, and is named as Madog's steward in the so-called
Penmachno Document
. He married
Angharad ferch Ithel Fychan
, and was a very wealthy landowner.
He died in 1311 and was buried in the Dominican friary at Bangor.
