Sir Giles Brydges, 1st Bt. was born circa 1573.He was the son of Hon. Charles Brydges and Jane Carne. He married Mary Scudamore, daughter of Sir James Scudamore and Mary Throckmorton.
He died on 12 September 1637. He was buried at Peterstowe, Herefordshire, England
An inquest post mortem was held for his on 31 October 1637. His will (dated 4 September 1634) was proven (by probate) on 22 November 1637.
